The 2020 TSX Venture 50 is a ranking of top performers on TSX Venture Exchange over the last year. The ranking is comprised of 10 companies from each of five industry sectors, selected based on three equally weighted criteria:
Mexico's Vice Minister of Mining, Francisco Quiroga, joined Dean McPherson, Head, Global Mining, Business Development, TMX Group, to close the market. Currently, there are 126 mining companies in Mexico with 366 properties listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. In 2019, these companies raised approximately $801 million in equity capital.
A Brazilian mining delegation comprised of government officials and mining companies, joined Rob Peterman, Vice-President, Global Business Development, and Guillaume Legare, Head, South America, Capital Formation, TMX Group, to open the market. Currently, there are 36 mining companies in Brazil with 102 properties that are listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. These companies raised $121 million in equity capital in 2019.
A Peruvian mining delegation comprised of government officials and mining companies joined Guillaume Legare, Head, South America, Capital Formation, TMX Group, to open the market. Currently, there are 57 mining companies in Peru with 135 properties listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange. In 2019, these companies raised approximately $140 million in equity capital.
Brazilian Mining Association Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange to Boost Canadian Investment in Brazilian Mineral Sector
TSX and TSXV signed a memorandum of understanding with the Brazilian Mining Association (IBRAM - Instituto Brasileiro de Mineração) that seeks to increase investment in the Brazilian mining sector over the coming years.
This MOU is expected to open up the development of Brazilian mining projects as well as jointly identifying opportunities to boost the investment attractiveness of the Brazilian mining sector.
